In the case of LUPOMAX hops, lupulin is extracted from whole hop leaves using different technologies. The resulting concentrated material, rich in hop oils and resins, is pressed into pellets. LUPOMAX hops are used where intense hop flavours are required. Their use is recommended at all stages except bittering. Significantly smaller quantities of LUPOMAX hops are needed to achieve the desired aroma than with conventional T90 pellets.
