BrewZilla 65L Gen 4.1 RAPT WIFI
BrewZilla is one of the best-selling brewing devices in the world, and has helped create award-winning home brews in all countries where it has been available!
The brand new BrewZilla Generation 4.1 from Kegland is designed to be a compact brewing device that can be run from a single 220-240V socket.
A few features that set this brewer apart from other brewer machines:
Concave bottom
Generation 4.1 comes with a new design where the bottom is concave, with the outlet for the pump and faucet in the middle. This means that you get every single drop without having to tilt the device to the side. It also makes the device better suited for CIP cleaning!
False bottom for filtering against the pump
BrewZilla appliances are supplied with a strainer bottom which is used for filtering against the pump and outlet. This stops 95% of hop matter, malt residues, protein residues and the like from being sucked into the pump, so that the risk of a clogged pump is considerably reduced compared to similar devices where this is not included.
Ultra Low Watt Density
The heating elements in BrewZilla are designed to provide as soft a heating as possible without getting points in the device where worts burn. This makes it far easier to brew light beers, as you will often get a certain degree of caramelization during boiling on appliances without this feature. It also makes cleaning far easier, as there will be less sticking to the elements.
RAPT/Wifi
The new Generation 4.1 model is the first brewing device that can be connected to the RAPT portal ( https://app.rapt.io/ ). RAPT allows you to track, register and monitor your brews online. This greatly reduces the need for handwritten notes from your brewing day as everything is done automatically. The RAPT portal also allows you to control the appliance remotely, so you can start preheating water or simply monitor the brewing process while doing something else. The simple setup for brewing profiles allows you to enter each step, with full control so that you choose whether it should proceed automatically, or be activated manually by pressing a button on the device. You can also set up notifications so that you are notified when it is ready for the next step.
Bluetooth RAPT Gateway
Kegland is continuously working on developing additional equipment that uses bluetooth (BLE) to send signals, including additional thermometers and other sensors that will be compatible with the brewing device. The control unit on the device is set up with the possibility to pair the device directly with such extra modules when they arrive. This opens up even better temperature control, as well as a better overview in tracking such as the temperature of rinse water in another device.
Improved design under the appliance
BrewZilla 4.1 has received a major overhaul under the appliance compared to previous models. All electronics are now hidden in a sealed box, while the pump and connections are freely accessible without having to unscrew the bottom plate. This makes it much easier if you need access to the pump for cleaning. BrewZilla 4.0 is also designed so that you can choose for yourself whether the tap outlet should go via the pump or not by moving the connections below.
RAPT control with color screen
The new control unit is supplied with an easy-to-read color screen. The controller can be disconnected from the appliance, which makes cleaning easier. A big advantage of generation 4.1 is that the control unit has been moved to the top of the device, and you can tilt it upwards if you wish. You can also place the controller somewhere other than on the device if you wish.
The RAPT device regularly receives new updates directly over WIFI. This is simply done with a key click if the device detects a new firmware update available. Everything is now controlled from here, there are no longer extra switches for elements and pumps on the device.
The two-stage mashing vessel
The Silkaret on the BrewZilla 4.1 is 30% larger than on the previous model, which means you have room for more malt than before. It is designed with 2 level hook hooks on the side, so that when lifting you can set the height to 2 different heights. This has several advantages: It is more ergonomic as you can lift in two steps, gradually increasing the height will provide a more efficient screening, and it is better suited for brewing smaller batches where it is sufficient to lift it halfway up.
