Unlike most cartridges for bicycle tyres or airguns, each Brewferm carbon dioxide cartridge contains food grade carbon dioxide (CO₂) E290.

This makes them suitable for tapping beer and other drinks with Growlerwerks' uKeg 3.8 litre tap kegs. Also compatible with the Brewferm Party Star, Fass Frisch Party Master, Biermaxx, Koenig and Zapfprofi beer taps. They fit most bicycle pumps and airguns that work with 16-gram carbon dioxide cartridges.
