Yeast starter is an essential element for healthy fermentation. It contains all the substances that yeast cells need during the aerobic and anaerobic phases to replenish their energy reserves and maintain them at a constant level.
The ingredients stimulate yeast metabolism and reduce the formation of undesirable compounds, e.g. diacetyl, acetaldehyde, sulphur.
Ingredients: yeast extract, amino acids, thiamine and trace elements, vitamins.
Dosage: 5g/20l
Instructions for use:
For beers of 1.060 OG , or below, mix in wort before infusion with yeast.
For beers above 1.060 OG, or for fermenting with quail yeast, dissolve about half the contents of the sachet in a glass of water and rehydrate the yeast in this. The other half is added to the already fermenting beer after about 24 hours.
