As with all BJCP-compliant beers brewed for competition, the key is to
know the style and stick to the recipe, no matter how tempting!
German Pale Export Beer is a special BJCP compliant batch, whereas any German beer can be
export variant, which is always slightly stronger than the base beer. This batch is a lager, so in order to
to be successful in competition, you have to make it! That usually means 3 months for me.
For the water profile, you should choose a harder, more mineral, slightly sulphurous water.
By default, our recipe packs do not contain any water treatment agents unless specifically stated in the description. If you need water treatment, you can buy it at a discount HERE.
