Malt extracts are boiled for long hours during production to evaporate excess water. The long boiling process breaks down the proteins that cause the haze. For this reason, wheat beer made with wheat malt extract has a very good head retention and becomes translucent after 2-3 weeks of aging. If you store it in the fridge for 4-5 days before consumption, you will create a mini cold-crash in the bottles. In our tests, we made beers with the same clarity as store-bought beers.

For this recipe package we use only malt extract. The hop boiling time is 30 minutes.

Characteristics:

Alcohol: approx. 5,3%

Capacity: 18 litres

Ingredients: 100% malt extract, hops and yeast

Ingredients required: -

Brewing steps:

1) Place the two jars of malt extract provided with the kit in boiling water for 10 minutes to make it more liquid. This makes it easier to work with.

3) Measure the total amount of water according to the recipe attached to the package, then pour it into the malt extract jars.

4) Mix the ingredients well so that they are completely dissolved.

5) Only when the malt extract has dissolved, ignite and start boiling.

6) Hops according to the Brewfather data sheet included in the recipe packet.

7) From there, everything is the same as for a normal recipe pack.

You can make about 18 litres of finished beer from the recipe pack.

You can find the recipe HERE.
